I received a call from 01604 652898 on Monday, 29th December 2008 around 11:08 in the morning. The chap on the line claimed to share the same name as us (which was rather uncanny, but I suspect it’s a common tactic he uses with male recipients). He was trying to sell us some sort of home insurance. However, as soon as it became clear that we weren't keen, his tone shifted quite dramatically, and we decided to end the conversation. Has anyone else experienced something similar? And how on earth did he know our name in the first place?

I received a call on Monday, the 29th of December 2008, at about 11:08 am from a chap who claimed to share the same name as us. Quite odd, isn't it? We can't help but wonder if he employs this tactic with every male he speaks to. He was trying to peddle some house insurance, but things turned a bit dodgy once he realised we weren't keen on his offer. We decided to end the conversation there. Does anyone have any thoughts on how he might have known our name?
