Got a voicemail from a lady talking about some dodgy charges on my bank - something like £300 linked to Amazon and another £1,100 for an international transfer. I didn’t pick up, so she ended up leaving a message instead.

24/04/22 - Got another call that’s exactly like the last one. It’s obviously a credit card fraud attempt. Honestly, these scammers are the worst. BT really ought to block these numbers and stop letting dodgy callers get more connections. Happened here in South East Lincolnshire.

I just got a call from someone saying they're from the bank's security team. Apparently, they've noticed two unusual charges on my card.

I got a robocall saying I'd been charged twice on my Amazon account. The automated voice even named the exact amounts, which seemed off because no legit call would do that. I realised it was a scam pretty quick and just ended the call straight away.

Got a call claiming there were two charges on my card, one for £300 and another for £1,100 supposedly from Amazon, asking me to press 1 to speak with someone. Rang my bank and they said there was no record of any of those payments. Totally sounds like a credit card scam to me.

This was obviously a scam trying to trick me. They said they were from some fraud dept but never mentioned which company. They claimed there were dodgy charges on my credit card, but it felt very fishy.

This morning, Thursday 18th April 2024 at about 10:32, someone pretending to be from the "Security Department" called saying there were two charges on my card - supposedly "Amazon £300 and £1100" from some international money transfer site. Weirdly, I got a very similar call from 02034741758 back on Tuesday 27th February 2024 at 09:19. They left a voicemail then, claiming to be from the "Fraud Department" about those same two amounts charged that day. Definitely a scam, so watch out!

Got a call around 11am on 18 April from 01604 627400. It was a recorded message from a woman, said something about my bank security and two transactions earlier today. Heard the exact same spiel last week but from a number in Aldershot. Pretty sure it’s a scam, feels dodgy and quite risky.

Got a scam call from this number (01604627400), tried to report it on BT’s “Report a scam call” section but it kept saying the number wasn’t valid, so I couldn’t actually report the fraud. If BT can tell it’s not a real number, why haven’t they gone and blocked it yet? Really annoying!
