I didn’t pick up and no voicemail was left. Since I’m based in Scotland and only work here, I wouldn’t normally expect calls from a company in Northampton. Lately though, I’ve been getting loads of spam calls from various UK landlines and mobiles. Even had one come through from Switzerland recently.

I got a call from a woman speaking in a quiet, sort of unclear British accent, talking about business insurance or something like that. When I asked her what exactly she was after and mentioned I’d noticed the Northampton area code, she didn’t really give a clear answer. I also told her I wasn’t a big business, but she just didn’t respond properly and then ended the call abruptly.
