Got a call from someone called Gary, who tried that old trick about lowering my TV service contract fees. Thing is, I don’t even have a contract with them! When I asked who was calling, the line went dead straight away. Pretty clear it was a scam.

Got a call from someone who said they could lower my TV bill, which was odd since I wasn’t even aware I had a contract. The guy, who introduced himself as "Mike" and had an accent from the Indian subcontinent, gave me an extension number instead of a direct line. Funny enough, I managed to get their full number from 1471. When he asked me to confirm my bank details, I just hung up. Feels like a proper scam to me.

When I picked up the call, there was absolutely nobody on the other end. What a complete waste of time!
