I reckon it was a call centre since there was a lot of chatter in the background. They were trying to push renewable energy stuff. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

These folks are absolutely terrible, not just scammers but sneaky ones trying to snatch everything from your passwords to your bank info. If they catch on that you're wise to their tricks, or if you refuse to hand over what they want, they get really nasty. All they're after is grabbing whatever they can from you.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon. It’s pretty common these days, and it’s definitely a scam. I’ve never even signed up for anything with Amazon, so it was obvious they were trying something dodgy. They seriously need to be stopped.
