I asked him to confirm the account number so I could be sure he was from EoN and he said he didn't have the account number, but could give me the MPAN number (ANY company can get that!) He then said he could not give me the account number for Data Protection reasons!!! I advised that as they have my email and home address he should send details of the quote through - he claimed they HAD to do it by phone as the rates fluctuate daily. I informed him that as HE had failed my security checks, then for DATA PROTECTION REASONS I could not discuss matters with him.... He didn't like having the tables turned on him! I hung up!
