Today at about 1.35pm, I got a call from 01604111900. When I answered and said hello, there was silence for a few seconds and then the person just hung up. I decided to look up the number and found out lots of others had flagged it as dodgy, so I blocked it straight away. The annoying bit is, I didn’t actually end the call properly and ended up with the line open for over 3 hours and 30 minutes. Now I’m worried I might get charged for that!

This number rang me today. Normally, I ignore calls from random numbers, but I was waiting on someone from an 01604 code so I picked up. There was nobody there, just silence, so I figured maybe I was too slow and they’d already dropped the call. I just looked it up here and could see what’s going on. Appreciate you sharing this info. From now on I’ll stick to letting unknown calls go to voicemail like I normally do. Honestly, these types are the worst.

So, I got a call from 01604111900, somewhere in Colinton, Edinburgh EH13. The caller said they were from some firm called PPU - sounded dodgy to me. When I picked up, they actually said my surname straight away, which was a bit spooky. Thing is, I don’t live there, my mum does, so that made me suspicious. I mentioned the washing machine should be insured under the home insurance, and then the girl just abruptly ended the call. She had a really polite, young female voice though - honestly felt kinda risky. Definitely a call to be careful of.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with a company named "PPU," asking if I wanted to buy an extended warranty for my washing machine. It's pretty old, so I told them it doesn’t make sense. I said straight up that it’s a scam, then they just hung up on me.

This person said they were from an insurance firm and told me my washing machine's cover was about to run out, which isn’t true at all. They then tried to sell me a really cheap policy and wanted my card info. Sounds like either a scam to get some money off me or just a ploy to steal my card details.

Got a call from someone saying they were with a company named PPU. When I mentioned the Telephone Preference Service, they acted like they had no idea what it was. Ended the call pretty quickly after that.

Got a ring from 01604111900, looks like it's from EH13 - COLINTON, EDINBURGH, and the caller said they were from some company called PPU. When I picked up, they guessed my last name straight away, which was a bit too slick if you ask me. Thing is, it's actually my mum who lives here, not me, so that set alarm bells ringing. Then I mentioned the insurance would cover the washing machine, and suddenly the line went dead. The lady on the phone spoke well, sounded young and polite, but honestly, this feels really dodgy and risky. Watch out for this one!

I've had loads of calls from this number saying my washing machine warranty had run out and asking if I wanted to renew it straight away on the phone. It sounded dodgy to me, but they were quite persuasive. Just a heads up, 01604111900 is probably a scam.

I saw the 0160 prefix and decided not to pick up as it looked suspicious. They didn’t bother leaving any voicemail either. From what I’ve heard, that area code is often tied to spam calls.
