some bloke rang saying he was with bt openreach and claimed someone was messing about on my pc without permission. i told him no one was on it and i don't even let anyone near it. he then said he was calling the cops and they'd be round my place shortly. when i told him he'd be welcome to come, he just hung up on me.

So just this morning this number popped up saying it was Microsoft, but last week it was BT. They kept insisting I hand the phone over to the laptop’s owner ‘cause apparently the computer got hacked once more. I played along for a bit until he got annoyed and ended up hanging up on me.

Received a rather alarming phone call purporting to be from BT, stating that my broadband was about to be cut off in a mere two hours. I countered that this wouldn’t be the case and requested they refrain from calling me in the future. The woman on the line had a well-articulated voice, possibly with an Eastern accent.

Avoid dealing with these tech scam calls! Never let them on your PC or share any info with them. Just hang up and keep safe.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be a BT tech, said someone was trying to hack my internet and that they’d cut it off if I didn’t let him into my PC. He said his name was Mike Anderson, but his accent didn’t really match that, seemed odd. He insisted he was calling from BT in Victoria Street, London, but the number had a Norwich area code. Wouldn’t share any proper contact info and got really rude when I asked for details.

I get calls from this number probably three times every week. It just rings and when I pick up, all I hear is silence before they put the phone down. Seems like they don't even want to talk.

This number tends to call me roughly three times a week, but as soon as my voicemail kicks in, they promptly disconnect. Quite peculiar, really!

Some bloke called Harry Swanepoal said he was from Microsoft and gave off a pretty legit vibe. He tried getting me to do stuff on my laptop, but I wasn’t buying it at all, so I just told him no and hung up.

I tried ringing back but got told it wasn’t the right number, so I’m guessing it was a mistake. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.
