It was someone claiming to be from a home contents insurance company asking about an outstanding balance on a policy I’m meant to have had for the last couple of years. They said I owed about £300 but since I was a “loyal customer” they’d accept a reduced payment of £160. When I didn’t admit to having such a contract or offer to pay, the person got really aggressive, threatening to send bailiffs if I didn’t cough up.
