I politely declined, but ever since, the same number keeps calling, and now I've got other salespeople ringing me as well. It feels a bit dodgy; I'm pretty certain they must be sharing my information with others after getting nowhere with me. From now on, whenever they ring, I’ve decided I'm going to play a little game. I'll say, "Hold on a sec, I’ll fetch the homeowner," and then just carry on lounging in front of the telly while they sit there like fools, waiting in limbo.
