So a few days ago, I got a call and the person asked if I was Mrs X, which happens to be me. I wanted to know who was calling first, but as soon as I questioned them, they just cut the call straight away. I’ve come across stories lately about scams where if you say “yes” to confirm your identity, they record it and later use it somehow in a scam scheme. Definitely makes me wary now!

The person on the line stayed silent and then just ended the call.

Total scam alert. The guy was going on about my Sky account but then kept muddling it up with BT. After that, he said he’d connect me with the Money Expert Team to get my bank info - I told him straight up it’s a scam and hung up. The number this so-called Jack tried calling me back from was 0161 8202908, rang a couple of times.

Got a call from 01603850137 on 5th Jan 2023 around 11:11, didn’t pick up, but once the answer machine started, they hung up straight away. Feels like some kind of scam or just annoying harassment. Watch out!

Got a call from James claiming to be from Just Windows and Doors. He asked if I was the homeowner, and when I said no, he just hung up. Seems like a scam to me. Not sure how they even got my number because I’m on the TPS and it’s supposed to be ex-directory. Strange how they found me!

Got a call from someone called James claiming to be from Just Windows and Doors, the number was 01603850137. He assumed I owned the house, I told him no and that was enough to end the call. Pretty sure it's a scam, no idea how they managed to get hold of my number since I'm ex-directory and registered with TPS.
