Got two calls within 30 minutes from people saying they were from Virgin Media or BT. Sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying BT had tested our phone line and found issues. My husband told her he couldn't make out what she was saying because of her accent, and she just ended the call. Then she rang again shortly after, I waited for a bit but no one said anything, so I ended it. In all the 17 years we've had this number, we've never got calls like this. We're on TPS and thought it was doing its job, but clearly not today. They're clearly using some auto-dialler system and have zero scruples.

Yesterday and today, this bloke keeps ringing me, speaking with a strong Indian accent, saying he's from BT about some problem with my router. I just told him to get lost and had a good laugh at the whole thing.

I got a call from an Asian guy today saying there was an issue with my internet. I had a hard time catching what he was saying and kept asking him to say it again. He started sounding really fed up. Eventually, I told him he was holding me up for work and just ended the call. Probably a scam, so don’t bother answering. Just hang up straight away.

This number has been ringing us non stop, 59 times just today! It started early at about 9:45 and kept going until after 1:30 pm. They left a voicemail mentioning BT OpenReach, which is weird since we dont use BT. Total pain, just a spammy call.

A bloke rang me saying he was with British Telecom and was calling from Southall, somewhere in West London. He warned that my broadband router would be turned off in about ten minutes unless I paid up immediately in pounds. I told him I’m not even with BT but he reckoned BT’s the main telco here and all the others are just branches of them.

I got a call from someone called Nick Jones, who said he was with BT. He told me my router had been sending alerts about unauthorised access attempts. The guy had a foreign accent, so I was straight away thinking it was a scam. I asked him for the phone number linked to the router. He gave me a number, but I don’t actually have internet on that line or a router connected to it, which I told him. He then said there must be another number but wouldn’t give it to me. After that, he just hung up.
