I got a call from this number, and the person claimed to be from BT Openreach, saying my internet was running slow. I had a bad feeling it was some kind of scam, but I played along for a bit. I mentioned I wasn’t actually a BT customer, but they insisted that all broadband passes through BT. When I told them I was using a Mac, they switched me over to a manager. Then, after I said my internet speed was fine - actually getting 1000 Mbps with B4RN - the supervisor just accused me of lying and hung up on me.

Given that we operate a business, I considered complying with his requests. He instructed me to perform a speed test via Google, which was clearly aimed at residential connections. Upon informing him that we are a business, he abruptly terminated the call. His manner was quite unpleasant, displaying aggression when I resisted his demands.

My work phone has been ringing nonstop, like six calls in just four hours! Every time I pick up, all I hear is silence or loads of buzzing like a call centre. I’ve had enough and told IT to put a block on it!

This number, along with some others, has been ringing me, threatening to disconnect my phone. So, I try to drag the call out as much as possible. On the last call, I told them if there was a real problem, they should send an engineer over. They said they could, but it’d cost me £100. I asked how to pay, and the bloke said the engineer would take cash or a cheque when he showed up. I quickly pointed out that engineers aren’t supposed to take payments directly. We went back and forth for a bit before he just hung up. If they want to waste my time, I’m happy to return the favour, haha.

After a short wait, they told me it wasn't their doing and that it was just another scam call - one of many we've had on our landline recently. My neighbour told me she got a phone call from someone pretending to be with BT, warning her the internet would be cut off. Since we don't even have BT, I told the lady on the line, who spoke with a thick Indian accent, that I knew it was a con. She replied, “Oh really, you reckon it’s a scam?” I asked if she felt any shame for trying to trick people, especially those who might be vulnerable. Got a call from this number earlier today, and honestly, I'm about ready to block it. We actually invested in a call blocker to stop unknown numbers bothering us, and it’s done a decent job so far. But these telemarketers seem to have never-ending batches of numbers they cycle through - it’s baffling how they manage it and why it’s still legal for them to bother us like this. My routine is to let the phone ring out and go to voicemail; if there’s no message and I don’t recognise the number, it gets blocked straight away.

This number has been ringing me quite a few times lately. Just this morning, a woman said she was calling from BT Openreach. When I told her to stop calling me as I hadn’t asked for contact, she got really snappy, claiming they weren’t telemarketers and that my router was supposedly showing errors. This morning I got a call from someone with an Indian accent, wanted to speak to the phone line owner. I asked who it was but couldn’t make out most of what he said except the word BT. Then he just hung up before I had a chance to tell him off, which I’d usually do since I’m on the do not call list and ex directory. Dialled 1471 and that’s the number that came up. After reading other comments, it’s obvious this is a scam, definitely not from BT.

I've been receiving calls from this number for the entire week; I’ve had a couple of them this morning alone. I've now decided to stop picking up on my landline and just allowing it to divert to the answering machine. Oddly enough, they never bother to leave a message.

Some lady with an Asian accent called saying she was from BT Openreach, trying to arrange some kind of ‘internet meeting’ to fix my slow connection. Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT Open Reach. Pretty clear it was a scam. A while back I had a similar call, so I rang my internet provider on my mobile, and they gave me a BT number to check with. BT confirmed they never ring customers about broadband issues and won’t ask for details about your PC or your network. I told the bloke off and hung up straight away. Honestly, I’m so tired of these muppets trying to con me. He hasn’t called since. Don’t fall for it, just end the call.

Somebody called saying they were Peter but had a funny accent and used the number 01603721398. I told them to stop calling me and I’m not happy with these random scam calls. I hung up, but then about an hour later, I got a recorded message supposedly from BT coming from 004141463714. Feels like I’ve pissed someone off and now they’re hassling me. I’ve blocked both numbers now.

I've been getting calls from this number on my mobile, even while I was away on holiday. Now that I'm back, they haven't stopped, which is really driving me mad.
