Likewise, we've tried ringing back, but every time we do, it just leads to a constant engaged signal after a few attempts.

In the last week, this number has attempted to contact us on three separate occasions-once at the start of the day, again in the afternoon, and finally as the day was winding down. We haven’t answered any of their calls, seeing as they’re not in our address book and, curiously, they haven’t left a single voicemail. I’ve now decided to add this number to my list of nuisance calls, which I have a call tone muted for. This should effectively put an end to their persistence!
