I’m employed at Aviva and received this call recently. The person claimed to be from Truly Independent Financial Services, asking for details about a ‘client’s’ policy and insisted they had authorisation directly from the client. They didn’t actually have any proof but were quite insistent that the paperwork had been submitted back in March. None of it added up. Then the caller mentioned they’d be contacting the client directly. Wouldn’t you think they’d speak to the client before calling us? I’m pretty certain this wasn’t a legitimate financial advisor at all.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be Barclays home insurance. I reckon it’s dodgy since banks don’t just ring you up out of nowhere and I don’t even have their home insurance.

They didn’t leave a message, so I opted not to answer the call. It could possibly be AVIVA Insurance since I've had some correspondence with them lately.

I got a call from Aviva saying my home insurance policy had expired.

They claimed to be from Aviva and began asking me for loads of personal information. I told them to confirm the pension plan number they were calling about first, but they couldn’t provide it, so I just ended the call.

SCAM - Got a call from this number saying they were from Barclaya bank and that I had rung them earlier today. That’s totally false, I never called at all.
