I rang this number back and got stuck on hold with some tunes playing. Eventually, someone picked up, said their name - sounded foreign, but their English was solid and with a proper accent. I attempted to chat, but all he said was, “Hello?” before shoving me back on hold. Then out of nowhere, a different voice popped up, randomly saying, “It’s starter motors, alternators,” with no explanation or anything. And then the call just cut off. Strange experience!

After ignoring it, I looked up the number online. If it turns out to be a legit business I know, I might ring them back if it seems important. Today they called back and after a moment of silence, the caller suddenly said, "Keep quiet, the phone might be tapped... it's finished, there's blood everywhere. I’ll post you his fingers as proof." It’s been going on for over a month now. My missus picked up once, and a lady was asking for me by my full name. Just as I was about to get on the line, the handset died - probably for the best, as they kept pestering me at 8 in the evening and I might’ve lost my temper. Now I just let it go to voicemail without answering. Often it stops ringing before the answer machine even kicks in. Pretty sure this company's a total scam. The Dept of Work and Pensions doesn't even have proper offices anymore, so this lot must've decided to call themselves the "pension office" just to fool folks into thinking they're legit. Feels like a dodgy way to drum up business.

Then he started talking about some new pension changes. No, this ain't some scam you lot. It's actually a free thing to help with pensions. The guy who popped round to chat with me was FCA registered, so by law he can't dish out rubbish financial advice or try and nick your pension money.

Just like what others mentioned, I got a call from someone saying his name was Adam. He wanted to speak to Mr and Mrs something, saying he was ringing from the Pension Office about some government changes. When I asked how he got my number, he kept saying again he wasn’t trying to sell anything. I told him to send me a letter instead but didn’t give out my address, then ended the call. Definitely an unwanted call!

A woman rang asking to speak to my wife, giving a name and saying she was from “the pension office.” She then went on about changes in pension rules, asking if my wife knew about them. I pressed her on whether this “pension office” was an official government agency or just some private firm, since I suspected it wasn’t the real Department for Work and Pensions. She dodged the question, insisting she was from “the pension office.” I kept asking the same thing, and after a few rounds of this back-and-forth she just ended the call. About a month back, I had a chat with this company and okay'd for someone to visit me at home. They asked for my pension info and verified my ID first. The lady left after and just this week I received a report from them. To be fair, I got a bit nervous and ended up telling them I wasn’t interested in the choices they showed me.
Not claiming anything funny going on, they were actually quite polite and the woman I spoke to was very friendly, no pressure anywhere.

I got a call from IIG Financial, or something like http://thepensionoffice.co.uk, trying to get cash out of me. When I rang back, they weren’t keen to share info on the phone. If you want to report them to the TPS, give them a buzz on 01603564994. The address they gave was The Pension Office, The Royal, Bank Plain, Norwich, NR2 4SF. Just be careful with these lot.
