I rang this number back and got stuck on hold with some tunes playing. Eventually, someone picked up, said their name - sounded foreign, but their English was solid and with a proper accent. I attempted to chat, but all he said was, “Hello?” before shoving me back on hold. Then out of nowhere, a different voice popped up, randomly saying, “It’s starter motors, alternators,” with no explanation or anything. And then the call just cut off. Strange experience!

This number 01603 391109 rang me the other day. I usually just ignore calls from unfamiliar numbers because they tend to be either sales pitches or scams. After ignoring it, I looked up the number online. If it turns out to be a legit business I know, I might ring them back if it seems important. But most times, like with this one, the number shows up as linked to dodgy callers. So, I simply block it and recommend others do likewise.

This morning, just before 10:30 on 12/12/2015, I got a call from 01603564994. When I picked up, the caller dropped the line straight away. No idea who it was.

This number rang me the other day out of the blue, so I looked it up to see what was going on. Today they called back and after a moment of silence, the caller suddenly said, "Keep quiet, the phone might be tapped... it's finished, there's blood everywhere. I’ll post you his fingers as proof." I waited to hear more, but they just hung up on me! Proper weird. - number: 01603 391109

It’s been going on for over a month now. My missus picked up once, and a lady was asking for me by my full name. Just as I was about to get on the line, the handset died - probably for the best, as they kept pestering me at 8 in the evening and I might’ve lost my temper. Now I just let it go to voicemail without answering. Often it stops ringing before the answer machine even kicks in. I’m thinking about actually picking up next time and giving them a blast on the dog whistle (the loud, high-pitched kind, not the quiet one) and then hanging up straight away. - caller ID shows: Woman claiming to be from "the pension office"

In my opinion, this outfit appears to be quite dodgy. The fact that the Department of Work and Pensions lacks physical offices makes it all the more suspicious. It's as if they've branded themselves as the "pension office" in a bid to mislead folks and rake in business. Quite the sneaky tactic if you ask me!

These lot ring me up every single day without fail. I've told them more than once to take my number off their list and to stop pestering me, but of course, they just keep on calling. Honestly, I think they ought to be taken to court over this! - caller: Person

Utter nuisance! This number keeps ringing me every couple of hours, and yet there’s no one answering when I pick up! It really ought to be taken offline.

Just got a call a short while ago from someone claiming to be with the pension office. I asked why they’d be ringing so late, and he said it was because folk are busy working during the day. Then he started talking about some new pension changes. When I said I’d just check the .gov website and told him to stop calling, he said, “Your loss, not ours.” Pretty sure it wasn’t legit. - caller: Adam

Honestly, it’s not a con, folks! This is merely a complimentary service about pensions. They’re not attempting to pilfer your pension funds; the advisor who visited me was regulated by the FCA, meaning they’re legally bound to provide sound financial guidance. So, chill out and don’t fall for the misconceptions!

Just like what others mentioned, I got a call from someone saying his name was Adam. He wanted to speak to Mr and Mrs something, saying he was ringing from the Pension Office about some government changes. When I asked how he got my number, he kept saying again he wasn’t trying to sell anything. I told him to send me a letter instead but didn’t give out my address, then ended the call. Definitely an unwanted call!

A woman rang asking to speak to my wife, giving a name and saying she was from “the pension office.” She then went on about changes in pension rules, asking if my wife knew about them. I pressed her on whether this “pension office” was an official government agency or just some private firm, since I suspected it wasn’t the real Department for Work and Pensions. She dodged the question, insisting she was from “the pension office.” I kept asking the same thing, and after a few rounds of this back-and-forth she just ended the call. I looked them up afterwards and was surprised she didn’t just come out with a lie and keep going. The caller claimed to be from “the pension office.”

This number has rung me twice tonight and it’s getting really annoying since it keeps happening all the time. I’m on the TPS list but it looks like that doesn’t make any difference to them.

About a month back, I had a chat with these folks and we settled on a visit to my place. They collected some details regarding my pension and verified my identification. The lady headed off afterwards, and just this week, I received a report from them. Truth be told, I got a bit jittery and decided to back out of the options laid out in the report. I'm not implying there's anything untoward going on, but I must say they weren’t aggressive at all; the woman was quite pleasant during our interaction.

It seems that IIG Financial, or their site http://thepensionoffice.co.uk, are attempting to extract funds from unsuspecting individuals. I managed to uncover some information when I rang them back. However, the agent on the other end was quite tight-lipped and refused to divulge any specifics. If you wish to lodge a complaint with the Telephone Preference Service, you can reach them at 01603564994. Just a heads up about IIG Financial and their website, http://thepensionoffice.co.uk. For reference, they are located at The Royal, Bank Plain, Norwich, NR2 4SF.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the 'pensions office.' I told them I’m on the TPS list and asked them to stop ringing me. They kept saying they weren’t selling anything, just checking if I was aware of the latest pension regulations. They were quite pushy and wouldn’t accept my refusal. In the end, I just ended the call. - caller: 01603564994

This number keeps ringing me around 3 or 4 times every week. Whenever I pick up, there’s just silence and they hang up straight away. However, today the person actually spoke and asked for my husband, who was out at work. I got a bit annoyed and told them we’re on the TPS list and wanted our number taken off their calls. The caller then said he wasn’t selling anything but insisted he needed to speak to my husband. - caller: 01603 564994

Had a call from someone called "Bobby" claiming to be from a company interested in my pension. The bloke was surprisingly polite, probably trying to make you feel safe and trust him. Feels like one of those dodgy scams where they promise quick riches but it's all nonsense. Seriously, steer well clear - this is one of those pension-related cons from an unknown number.

Scammers :- They’re running a new 'MAKE QUICK CASH' con taking advantage of the latest pension rules, They oddly seem to have people’s names, probably got leaked from somewhere. Usually calls himself just by his first name, like Mike or Bobby, and claims to be from the government pensions department, very smooth talkers trying to trick you. - caller: Scammer

Here we go again with "Bobby." Just another dodgy character or perhaps a scammer, who knows? It’s that phone call we were warned about after the government shuffled the pension regulations.

We received a call earlier, and apparently, he's set to ring us again next week. Claimed he's associated with the pensions office. He did inquire whether we've consulted with a financial advisor recently, but I'm rather sceptical about the whole thing.
