I got a call from this number while expecting a parcel from AO.com. They tried to sell me some insurance. Funny thing is, it was the second time they rang me up. I ignored the first call but looked up the Norwich number and saw it was flagged as a scam. When they started talking, they wanted me to confirm my address and postcode, so I just gave them bogus info. They said everything was fine and carried on pushing the insurance on me!

Looks like Ao was trying to push me some sort of extended warranty for a new gadget. The calls kicked off at half past seven in the morning, way before the thing had even arrived at my place. After they rang me three times, I just blocked the number, couldn’t be bothered with it.

Honestly, this isn't one of those dodgy scams. I actually rang AO myself after getting the call, and they told me it was definitely from them. I get how it can be a bit frustrating to get called again after you've already said no, but it's all above board. I bought a vacuum cleaner from AO.com last Wednesday, and on Thursday I got two calls, then two more on Friday, and finally a third one which I actually picked up. The person was polite at first, just confirming my order and the delivery date. But then it got a bit annoying as they tried to push their aftercare plan for £4 a month.
