Not sure who it was, but I use Call Guardian and it makes callers say their name and press a button before I pick up. These ones didn’t do that at all, so I've decided to block them now. Cheers to everyone who shared their thoughts!

There was this lady with an Asian accent who actually called me by my name, but when I told her I wasn’t home, she just hung up. Proper annoying and felt like harassment.

Got a call from an Asian bloke who asked for me by name, said it was about our TV. Told him I wasn’t interested and blocked the number straightaway. I always give a fake name to these scammy calls, so when they ask for Mrs or Ms whatever, I can spot it’s the same lot trying to rip me off.

Some guy named "Alex" with an Asian-sounding voice rang up saying they could reduce my TV warranty fees. I told him straight away I never even paid for any warranty and politely thanked him before hanging up. I've blocked that number now too. It's really annoying having to scramble to pick up the phone just to get these kinds of calls!

Got calls from some lot calling themselves UK Nationals, trying to do some kind of home survey. Told them twice I wasn’t up for it, but they kept ringing. Had to block the number in the end.

Got a call from someone with an asian accent claimin we were bein charged way too much for our tv service. I just laughed and told him we dont pay a penny, so there’s no way the price could go lower. He sounded proper annoyed after that, so i ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I got a ring from someone saying it was about nuisance calls, sounded like it was from BT at first but then they couldn’t give me my account number when I asked. They said their name was Secure Info and that they were from Cardiff. It all seemed pretty real, especially since I’d just contacted BT myself to complain about nuisance calls.
