The caller had a strong foreign accent that made it really hard to catch what they were saying. They mentioned something about a Telephone Preference Scheme or whatever it’s called. When they asked for details, I refused to share any of my info, like my address and stuff. In the end, I just ended the call.

Got a call from an Asian chap who asked for me by name. When I asked who he was, he just hung up. I did a 1471 and called back, and the bloke told me he hadn’t rung me at all. A strange call came through where they knew my old last name and even my entire address! They said something like "I-dog" but it was so muffled I couldn’t catch what company it was. When I tried to confirm my address they’d given me and asked who they actually worked for, they just cut me off and ended the call. Pretty creepy they had all that personal info without me giving it to them.

Looks like this number got taken over by some call centre in India, and they've been pretty rude to a bunch of folks who answered. They've got an auto dial system, so some calls aren’t even going through properly. Loads of people have been using 1471 to check the number and then calling back the real owner. Now their phone won’t stop ringing all day long. The whole mess has been reported to Action Fraud and the cops.

Got a call today around 3.09pm from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was from Italk and wanted to ask me some questions. I just told him to hold on and left the phone sitting out in the hallway. Didn't feel like asking for their Companies House registration - every time I do that, they just end up hanging up.

Got two calls from this number today. The first showed up as 01603 and the second just popped up as ‘INCOMING CALL’, which nearly fooled me. I struggled to make out the Indian lady’s accent, but it seemed like she was doing some sort of survey and kept stressing she wasn’t trying to sell me anything. I’ve blocked the number now, but I’m sure they’ll ring back from somewhere else soon enough.

I received a rather odd phone call from someone whose accent sounded like they might be from Asia, possibly Indian or Pakistani. They addressed me by my name, albeit mispronouncing it as though they’d only heard it and hadn’t seen it in writing. They also had knowledge of my address and postcode, but once again, the pronunciation was off. When I mentioned that such calls are illegal, the person became quite rude and aggressive. It was clear that they had no intention of ending the conversation, so I decided to hang up. Definitely felt like a scam!

I received a rather peculiar call from someone with a thick accent who kept inquiring whether I was Mrs J...B... (my name). When I pressed for more information about his reasons for calling, he became quite evasive and continued to repeat my name. It escalated to the point where he seemed to lose his temper-I'm fairly certain I heard a couple of choice words before he abruptly terminated the call. It has all the hallmarks of a scam, honestly. It's becoming rather tiresome, if I'm truthful!

I received a call from someone with a distinct foreign accent who inquired about Mr R____________ (my surname). Strangely, he referred to me with a first name that wasn’t mine or anyone I know. The lack of courtesy and context set off alarm bells for me, so I mentioned that the person he was after wasn't available at that time. To my surprise, he just hung up abruptly. Quite odd, if you ask me!
