I told her we already had someone scheduled for that, and she thanked me politely and said goodbye. I didn’t let her get any further with it. We really don’t need calls like these, they’re a bit of a nuisance. My husband isn’t well, so I have to always pick up just in case it’s something important. A woman called saying she was from electrical safety and started asking if my wiring had been checked recently. I told her it had, then she went on about my fusebox. I explained I have circuit breakers, but she wanted to know if they were exposed. I said they were, and she then asked me to have a look upstairs. On the 13th of January 2017, I received a rather unwelcome phone call, despite the fact that my number is listed with the Telephone Preference Service. The caller claimed to be discussing electrical safety matters. I promptly informed him that my number is registered with the service and instructed him to take it off their list.
