I got a call from a nicely spoken lady who claimed she was carrying out safety inspections on electrical wiring. I told her we already had someone scheduled for that, and she thanked me politely and said goodbye. I didn’t let her get any further with it. We really don’t need calls like these, they’re a bit of a nuisance. My husband isn’t well, so I have to always pick up just in case it’s something important. Honestly, I wish these calls would stop soon. I’m sure all of you have more important things to deal with too.

A woman called saying she was from electrical safety and started asking if my wiring had been checked recently. I told her it had, then she went on about my fusebox. I explained I have circuit breakers, but she wanted to know if they were exposed. I said they were, and she then asked me to have a look upstairs. I told her I couldn’t do that at the moment, and she said she'd ring back later. I ended the call and blocked her number straight away.

Got a call around 1:38pm on the 8th of March. The person on the other end asked if i'd had a safety check done in the past ten years and wanted to know about a safety certificate. On 13 Jan 2017, I got a call that I didn’t ask for, despite my number being on the Telephone Preference Service. The person claimed it was regarding electrical safety. I mentioned straight away that my number is on the TPS, asked them to delete it from their list, then ended the call. Dialling 1471 showed me the number. The caller was from the Electrical Safety Group based at Energy House, Rackheath Industrial Estate, Norwich, Norfolk, NR13 6LH.
