Got a call from a guy with an English accent claiming he was from some Door and Window firm. He said something about a Government scrappage scheme. TPS alone can't deal with all these scam calls. To really tackle the problem, everyone needs to report every scam attempt through the government, police, and telecom industry's official channels, which you can find on the police Action Fraud website for phishing. You can report scam calls simply by texting 7726. Sometimes they’ll ask you to resend the info just to be clear. For scam texts, forward them too to 7726. And if you get scam emails, send them over to '[email protected]'. Sadly, not many people bother reporting, so the true scale of all these scams stays hidden.
