Honestly, it’s awful how they go after older folks trying to push some medical alert device on them. Makes me sick, the way they do it. Such shameless crooks!

I received a call from someone with a rather thick accent promoting a medical alert system. At first, they claimed the service was complimentary, but then they unexpectedly requested my bank details. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Got a call from some random number again, no voicemail left. Honestly, if you don’t know the number, just don’t bother answering. People behind these calls are only good for wasting time, not interested in any real work. Such a pointless part of today’s world.

This morning I got a call from a bloke with a strange accent asking me to start a direct debit of £29.99 monthly for a personal medical alarm for emergencies. He wanted my bank sort code right away to begin the payments in about 20 days. I wasn’t having any of it and told him to send me everything by post instead. The call lasted around 15 minutes and felt like some sort of scam, even though he kept saying it wasn’t. He eventually hung up on me!

Got a call from this number today, they claimed it was about some new personal medical alarm being sent out to everyone over 50. Then this lady Teresa asked if I was over 50. I told her, if you know who you’re calling, you should already have that info. Pretty clear to me it’s a scam - best just to ignore and hang up.

Got a call again today, this time from a woman named Sandra, from abroad or something. She was on about sending me this emergency red button I could wear around my neck - "free," she said, but then mentioned a £29.99 monthly rental fee. They had some excuse for everything, really pushy. I ended up trying to convince her to buy a bike from me, and she just cut me off. Total scam, avoid it.

They rang me today but had the wrong address, it was our old place we left about two years ago, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from some dodgy company about a medical alert device, claimed they’d replace it for free but then started asking for bank info. Luckily mum was just watching a show about scams on TV and hung up straight away - what a relief!

Rang by some dodgy call centre, but as soon as I said it was a business number, they just cut me off. Proper dodgy behaviour.

Got a call from this number and they already knew my name. They were going on about some medical alarm but honestly, I couldn’t make out much of what they were saying. I told them I wasn’t following and then just hung up. Then, like 10 minutes later, the same number rang me again but I didn’t pick it up.

Looks like one of those bogus medical alert scams.
