Got a call twice from someone claiming they needed cash for cervical cancer injections. The caller was quite polite and initially asked if I could spare £50. When I mentioned I already give to cancer charities, they quickly dropped it to £20. I told them I don’t give to cold calls like that and just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a "Cervical Cancer Charity," sounded like a South African voice. They kept talking about some Lizzy Evans who supposedly died from cervical cancer. Definitely felt dodgy. My advice? Pretend you wanna donate, then say you need to grab your credit card and just leave the phone down. The longer you keep them waiting, the less time they have to try and scam others.

I must admit, I was rather suspicious; while I do think the website and possibly the charity are legitimate, the phone number seemed off. Interestingly, the address they provided was located in Norwich. Just as I was about to ask more questions, they abruptly hung up!

Tried looking up the charity but couldn’t spot anything matching, so it seems a bit fishy to me. I’m not giving money over the phone, for sure, and if they ring again I’ll just tell them no.
