Got a call from a Welsh woman who sounded like she was trying to pitch life insurance. She knew my first name, which was a bit creepy, not sure how she got hold of that info. I was watching the rugby and when the English anthem started, I cranked up the volume and she just hung up. Have blocked the number since then.

I reckon they have some sort of database since they knew my name right off the bat. Wonder where they dig up that info from? Was talking about life insurance or summat. The lass sounded called Kayleigh, had a Welsh accent, but the number she called from was Norwich, Norfolk. Honestly reminded me a bit of Hayley from that BBC Three call centre show.

I usually don’t pick up calls from strangers, and after seeing these comments, I’m really happy I stuck to that. I ended up blocking the number pretty quickly too.

Fraudulent call alert! I received an odd inquiry regarding life insurance, and shortly after, I got a call that appeared to be from my bank, even displaying their official number. In my recent memory, these are the only two unusual calls I've had, and I can't shake the feeling that they are linked in some way. Beware!

First got a call from someone pushing life insurance, then shortly after, some dodgy bloke pretending to be from my bank rang me up.
