Got a call from a lady talking with a South African accent, saying she was from some site called ‘compare the upgrade’ or something like that. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

She mentioned she was associated with something called 'Compare the Upgrade.com', but I've searched and can't find any such site. She asserted that she collaborates with all the mobile networks. When I politely said I wasn't interested in what she was offering, she promptly hung up. Quite peculiar, really!

I got a call saying I could upgrade and they'd cover the rest of my contract, plus send me a new phone at no cost. To claim it, they asked me to text a code along with my birthday to a certain number. It all felt really sketchy to me. I'd steer well clear of this one.

I didn’t pick up when they called me. Later, I called the number back from my landline, which shows my number as private, and the answerphone just said they don’t take calls from hidden numbers. Now I’ve checked the number here and it seems just like I thought - probably a scam. Definitely stay away from it. So glad I didn’t remove the block on my withheld number because they tried ringing my mobile too. Seriously, avoid it at all costs!

I didn’t pick up the call, so not sure who it was. I phoned the number back from my home phone, where my caller ID is hidden, and got an answering machine saying they don’t take calls from private numbers. Looking them up here, seems I was right - looks like a scam. Honestly, glad I kept my number withheld because they did try my mobile. Best to steer clear of these, seriously. Avoid them at all costs!

i got a call about some bitcoin trading thing and they were pushin me to join their trading website. honestly, this type of scam pops up all the time - dont get tricked! watch out, folks.

The phone keeps going off but every time I pick up, it's just an automated message. If you don’t answer, they leave the same voicemail anyway. Seems like they’re using some sort of power dialler to buzz loads of folks at once.
