This number popped up before with various scams, so I’d already put it on my block list. Since my phone never actually rang, they sent a text saying it was an O2 Call Alert with instructions to disable dial 901 by pressing *, option 5 twice. Plus, I got the exact same message from 01415010924 the day before. I’ve also blocked that number from messaging me now. Just a heads up to everyone - if the number looks dodgy or unfamiliar, don’t pick up! Always double-check and better safe than sorry.

I just ignored the call 'cause it felt like one of those dodgy scams, then went ahead and blocked the number.

I can tell you for sure that this is a home phone number that scammers are using without permission. I'm the one who owns the number, and today I've had loads of calls from people replying to missed calls they think are mine. Honestly, it’s been really stressful. Please do everyone a favour and block this number unless you genuinely know it - don’t ring back!

First I declined the call, then immediately after a Leeds number popped up. It was the same caller ID. About five minutes later, I did the same thing again - refused both calls and added the numbers to my block list.

Absolute nightmare of a scam, but gotta admit, it made for some entertaining swearing matches haha. :)

The call quality was poor with a lot of background noise, and the person on the other end spoke in very broken English. I told them I didn’t know the number and ended the call straight away, then blocked it. No proper conversation happened at all.

I can't help but wonder if this is a bit dodgy. I had a ring from this number, but the line was so fuzzy I couldn’t make out a word. I opted not to answer when they tried again. Best to be cautious, I reckon.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with O2, but then about quarter of an hour later, the same bloke called me again saying he was from Vodafone! Madness! 😆

It was a bit before anyone said anything, and when they finally did, there was loads of noise in the background. The woman sounded Indian and told me she was calling from Curry’s PC World. Definitely a scam if you ask me.

Got a call trying to sell me a phone contract with a bunch of handsets on offer. Told the bloke I wasn’t interested and he just kept going, calling me back to push it some more! Ended up blocking him.

Someone called claiming to be from Currys with a phone deal. The connection was terrible and the accent really thick. They didn’t stick around long before hanging up.

Had a really confusing call from a lady with an Indian accent who barely explained anything. First, she said she was ringing from PC World, then suddenly switched to Comet’s - which has been shut down for ages. She then tried to persuade me to agree to some phone contract. When I told her I was off duty police, she just cut me off. Proper dodgy.

I ignored the call since I don’t have any connections with Norwich and it just felt fishy. Plus, I’d already gotten a call from a London number earlier today, so I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of scam. Just a heads up to everyone!

So I got this dodgy call and could hear loads of noise like a busy call centre in the background. Some bloke with a strong African accent said he was ringing from Currys PC World, trying to sell me an iPhone 14 for just £35. I knew straight away it was a scam, so I told him I’d pop into the shop when I was ready for a new phone. Cheers for the heads-up though. Ended the call and went ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call claiming to be from Vodafone with some kind of offer. The connection was terrible, kept asking who it was because I couldn't hear properly over the noise in the background. Once I told her I wasn’t bothered, she suddenly sounded really pushy, almost desperate. Felt weird, so I told her the call seemed off and ended it.

Every time I try to find out who they are, they just cut the call. It’s really annoying how this number keeps bothering me like that.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, saying there's a 20% discount up for grabs. Turns out they're scammers from India trying to rope you into signing up for a phone that actually gets shipped to them so they can profit. It’s a known trick, so best just hang up straight away - real phone providers definitely wouldn’t handle discounts in this way.

So this bloke rings me up claiming he’s from PC World, saying they’ve got a deal on mobile phones. I told him I don’t even use mobiles and he just went, “Alright, bye then.” Never actually bought or contacted PC World myself, so pretty sure it was one of those dodgy scams.
