I got a call from a bloke saying he was with Aviva and said my life insurance needed a review and might get cheaper. He never said which policy he meant. I told him I had insurance through my mortgage, and he just said “oh yeah, that one”. Then he started asking loads of personal stuff about my kids. I ended the call straight away and reported it to Ofcom. I don't have anything with Aviva, and my mortgage is with a different company anyway.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from a ‘review company’ hired by my insurance firm to check if I had the correct policy. While I was still on the line, I tried searching online but couldn’t find anything about them. After that, the bloke just ended the call.

Had a call earlier claiming to be working with Aviva, where I've got my life insurance. They seemed to know loads about me and switched to a call where I could talk back, saying they could slash £8 off my monthly premium. I told them I’m fine with my current policy, but they kept pushing, asking for my sort code and account details to apparently save me that £8 by switching to HSBE. I’d already blocked them ages ago, but they phoned from a different number this time. So I blocked that one too.

So I called back even though I probably shouldnt have. As soon as I rang, it went straight to voicemail - some lot called “the life guys”? Never heard of them before. It’s annoying because my number’s on the TPS list, so they really shouldnt be cold calling me. A quick google showed they’re just scammers. Definitely blocked them now!
