Based in Swansea, this company bombarded the public with nearly 40 million disruptive calls in a mere three-month span. Falcon & Pointer Ltd relied on automatic calling systems to pester individuals concerning mis-sold payment protection insurance (PPI). After numerous complaints flooded in from the public, the Claims Management Regulator (CMR) decided to revoke their licence. I've received no less than three calls from Falcon and Pointer on this number over the past week, each time with those pesky recorded messages about PPI. One of those calls even disturbed my poorly little baby, whom I had spent ages trying to soothe. I’ve been signed up with the Telephone Preference Service for years and have never given any permission for my information to be sold off. It's incumbent upon Falcon and Pointer, as well as their higher-ups, to verify TPS registrations before they bombard people with calls in the UK, yet they seem to delight in ignoring this responsibility. So, what's the deal with the law? Basically, firms or groups that use auto-calls for marketing need to get your okay first, otherwise it's not allowed. If you're getting these robo marketing calls without agreeing to them, you can take action by reporting to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). They're the ones in charge of making sure these rules are followed. Just search ''complaint ICO'' on Google and you'll find a simple form to fill in. The more folks that report, the stronger the impact.

I've been getting calls from 01600469009 for the past few days and they just won't stop. TPS doesn't do anything about these recorded messages, which is why so many firms are going down that route now. Honestly, the rules need updating to cover recorded calls as well as live ones.

I received two more calls today, so I've taken the liberty of reporting them to the ICO. I also rang up Falcon and Pointer on 0300 40429841 to demand they cease these annoying calls. They claimed they got my number from Clarity and insisted they had the right to contact me. I was told it would take 48 hours to remove me from their list, and if I have any complaints, I'm to reach out to [email protected].

Got a recorded call today saying it was from Falcon & Pointer. Actually got two of these annoying calls. I've sent a couple of emails complaining to the company, also flagged it to the ICO and dropped a message to the Claims Management Regulator they list on their site. Not sure if any of that will sort it, but if it keeps happening, might as well charge them for the hassle. £50? Maybe £100? I work from home, so every minute counts.
