After waiting a bit for the call to pick up, some bloke with an Indian accent rang me - said his name was Richard (bit dodgy in my opinion, these sorts often use posh British names to sound legit, but it just annoys me). He claimed he was from Virgin Media (which is what we use), and wanted to “check the line” even though I haven’t had any issues recently. Honestly, felt pretty fishy. If that was a legit Virgin Media call, they seriously need to improve their spiel, ask proper security questions, or at least ring from a UK number so it doesn’t sound so sketchy.

It took a bit to pick up, then some guy with an Indian accent introduced himself as Richard (yeah, right - they always seem to pick posh British names like that, probably thinking it makes you trust them, but it just makes me wary). He claimed he was ringing from Virgin Media (which we actually use) to "check the line" or something, though I haven’t noticed any issues. Honestly felt dodgy to me... If he was legit Virgin though, they seriously need to rethink their script, maybe ask some proper security questions, or at least call from a UK number so it doesn’t sound so sketchy.
