Got a call out of the blue from someone saying they were from O2 with a supposed 40% off deal on airtime. I instantly knew it was a scam as I actually work for O2 myself. Then another call came through, this time pretending to be from PC World. I've passed both numbers on to Action Fraud and added them to my blocked list.

They were acting like they were from O2, but it was definitely not them. Proper dodgy!

The lady on the phone had a strange accent and I couldn't really understand her. She seemed to say she was ringing from Carphone Warehouse, but she couldn't even say my name properly. I told her to take me off their call list straight away.

I picked up the phone after it rang, but as soon as I did, the call was cut off!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from 02, my mobile company (which it definitely isn’t). They kept saying they sent me a text with a code three times, told me to give it to them so I could get a 40% discount on my bill. The caller said they’d been trying for 6 minutes before I told them to maybe try my email instead (but I didn’t share any details). Now I’ve blocked the number.

They claimed to be ringing from Currys PC World or something like that.

Whenever I get a call, my phone actually flags if it thinks the number’s dodgy. They don’t usually leave a voicemail, but I always make sure to tell scam callers to jog on!
