Got a call on my home phone earlier today, 30th Oct 2019 around midday. Some bloke speaking with a South Asian or Indian accent said he was from British Telecom and gave the name Peter Jackson. You could hear loads of noise in the background, like he was sitting in a busy call centre. When I asked him for proof, he got a bit defensive and rude, so I just hung up. Pretty clear this was a dodgy scammer trying to pull a fast one.
