Got a call from a bloke called Michael, said he was from Bird View, wanted to ask me five questions. I keep receiving calls for a Mr Young, who I can assure you has never resided at this address. The callers are rather elusive, refusing to reveal their identity or the reason behind their incessant attempts to reach him. Oddly enough, when I tried to call the number back, it turned out to be non-existent, as confirmed by BT. These calls occur regularly, at least a couple of times every week. Additionally, I'm getting calls from an International Unknown number also inquiring about this same Mr Young. Got a call earlier today asking for a Mr Young. That person’s never lived at this address, nor does he now. They call quite often but refuse to say who they are or why they believe Mr Young is here. Got a call today around 11.50 from someone claiming to be from a company named Birds View. They said they wanted to take me off a call list but needed me to answer a few questions first. I just told them no thanks and ended the call. Even though I'm on the TPS, these calls never seem to stop - honestly, what's the use of signing up when it doesn’t seem to do anything about scam calls!!!

Got a call from a woman claiming she needed me for a consumer survey. Said no thanks but she kept pushing, so I told her to piss off and hung up. She rang back less than 10 seconds later, same woman, threatening to report me for abuse! Told her to go ahead and that I could really give her some abuse if she wanted, then just left the phone off the hook. We get these annoying calls at least twice a day. Honestly, you’d think BT could do something to block them by now. Maybe if everyone stopped using BT for a few days as a protest, it might make a difference?

Got a call from an Indian bloke named Mike. He already knew my name and where I live. He claimed to be from some place called Birds View, from what I gathered, and kept firing questions at me. When I didn’t answer and asked him how he got my info and if he was legit, he turned really rude; shouting and calling me a daft old woman and an idiot! Proper unpleasant guy, made me feel really uneasy - these kinds of calls and companies ought to be banned!

I’ve just got off the phone, and honestly, it’s given me the shivers! The caller seemed to have an uncanny grasp of my personal details, even my address and the fact that I'm retired. It's quite unsettling, to say the least!

I had an encounter with someone who insisted on getting my address, and when I declined, he resorted to telling me to "go to hell." Honestly, I’m absolutely fed up with these incessant calls. Can't our Parliament come up with a solid law to put an end to this nonsense?

This morning, my phone must have rung at least eight times, all from the same number. Each time, as soon as my voicemail started recording, they promptly disconnected. This continued on a rather ridiculous loop for about an hour. Luckily, I've got a caller ID display, so I can spot who's trying to reach me and decide if it’s worth responding. It’s quite handy, really! I reckon implementing a feature to block withheld numbers would be a clever move too.

Had a telephone call at approximately half eight this morning. I was still tucked up in bed feeling under the weather, so I decided to let it ring on without picking it up. Earlier at eight o’clock, I received another call from 01287281344. I actually answered it, having just got out of bed for a quick trip to the loo, but to my dismay, there was nobody on the other end. This marks the third time in just three days that I’ve had this experience, and honestly, it’s quite unsettling.

Today, I've received a pair of calls from Birdview. On the initial call, the chap on the line claimed that if I would just entertain a few inquiries, he'd remove my number from their records. Naturally, I declined, and he just hung up on me. Then, I got another call and the bloke on the other end began to bicker when I informed him I'd already received a call. He insisted they’d persist in ringing me until I acquiesced to his questions. He, too, ended the conversation abruptly when I pushed back.

I just had a rather strange phone call. When I told the caller that the person they were seeking wasn’t available, they had the audacity to ask for my identity. I made it clear that it wasn't their concern, but then they went on to make some outrageous claim about me being involved with the husband of the homeowner. Honestly, I was left absolutely flabbergasted by such a wild accusation. I informed them I’d be reporting the incident and promptly hung up. What’s more, I’ve discovered that I can’t even return the call. I’m utterly astonished by the shocking level of service I’ve encountered!

01596580741 rang me at 8.45 but there was noone there when I picked up. I usually get about a couple calls daily from numbers like this. One time someone tried to check if I had a credit card.

For those of us who are a bit older or perhaps residing solo, these phone calls can feel rather unsettling. Imagine receiving a call that starts with an eerie silence, only for a woman's voice to suddenly whisper "goodbye." It raises so many questions, doesn't it? What on earth is that supposed to mean?

THIS IS DEFINITELY A BT SCAM! YES, BT! They want you to PAY for 'BT Call Minder' just to get rid of these calls. If BT ain't behind this, then these companies that keep ringing should be taken to court for harassment and shut down for good!

My phone buzzed and when I picked up, there was nothing but silence, though the call stayed on for quite a while. I couldn’t hear any dial tone and couldn’t hang up no matter what I tried. Ended up just waiting for them to let go of the call so I could use my phone again.

Just dial 1471, and it'll inform you about the number that got in touch with you. If you're keen on returning the call, simply press 3... But then, you end up with a friendly voice from BT explaining that the number isn't valid. She suggests double-checking the number and trying again!

Happened to me too, they ring in the morning and then again early evening. Wish I had a way to block them, the lot in charge need to get moving and actually do something about it.

Got a call at half past eight on Saturday morning, but the second I picked up, they just put the phone down. I’ve registered with the TPS too, but it clearly doesn’t help much when the calls come from overseas. Even if the number looks British, like 0203, chances are it’s being forwarded somewhere abroad. Quite frustrating!
