I've just received a rather dubious automated phone call from this number, purporting to be from Barclaycard-although I believe they mentioned Mastercard as well, which is a bit odd. The message stated that there had been a transaction for £600 made on my card in a 'foreign location' a mere 15 minutes ago. They prompted me to Press 1 if I wanted to speak to someone. Naturally, I reached out to Barclaycard directly using the telephone number found on the back of my card, only to discover that this is indeed a scam. Apparently, quite a few Barclaycard customers were targeted with the same call this morning, and they're currently looking into the matter. Whatever you do, DON’T press 1! Instead, inform Barclaycard about it!
