Annoying phone nuisance; best to ignore.

I received a rather peculiar call that felt quite mechanical in nature. The individual on the line, who claimed to represent the fraud department of my bank, began discussing an alleged dubious purchase from Amazon and a foreign money transfer. They then urged me to hit the number one. Quite unsettling, I must say!

Got a message on my answering machine about £300 on Amazon and £1100 on some foreign website. It’s definitely a scam. They tell you to press 1, but if you do, you'll likely be charged a £100 'connection fee'. Watch out for this one!

No one said a word when I answered. Feels like it could be one of those scam calls, right?

It’s best not to pick up, probably some sort of bank scam. Definitely report it to stay safe.

Got a call from this number saying there was some strange activity on my account. They never mentioned which bank it was or any specifics. They just gave me a few options to pick from.

Got a call from a well-spoken lady on a recorded message saying she was calling from some credit card company, though she never named which one. She mentioned there were tries to charge over £1000 and another of £100+ on my card. The message said to hit a button to reach their fraud team...

It was clear this was some kind of card scam. The woman’s voice sounded like it was on a loop, definitely a recording.

They rang, but I just let it go to voicemail and didn’t bother to leave anything.

Got a call saying I needed to authorise £300 plus another £1100 by hitting 1 on my phone... Thought I’d ring them back since it was a landline, but just got a message saying their voicemail was full... what a load of rubbish! No idea what would've gone down if I'd actually pressed 1.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Visa fraud protection saying someone was using my credit card. Didn't even bother, just ended the call straight away.

I got a call claiming Visa spotted two charges - one from Amazon and another sending money via Western Union. The caller had a heavy Indian accent and it was quite tough to follow. When I asked more about the transactions, it got a bit muddled, but he insisted it was on my debit card. Then there was a recorded message telling me to press 1 to speak with Customer Services. I pressed it, hoping to find out who's behind this scam, but the call just cut off right after.

Got a call earlier, someone claimed there were payments made - one for £300 to Amazon and another international transfer of £1000. They told me to press 1 if I authorised it. It seemed fishy on the spot.

So I got a call about two charges on my credit card... which is weird because I don’t even own one! Strange how these scams work.

Got a robo call saying my Visa had been charged twice, but that’s impossible cause I don’t even own a Visa card. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.
