I've been getting calls from this number day after day. It's baffling how nothing seems to be done, especially considering the flood of complaints about it! What’s going on?

I got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, sounded like one of those call centre scripts. An Indian guy said he was with Microsoft, but I told him I was only 15 - I'm actually 21. He seemed fine with that but kept asking if the computer with the ID he had was mine. I told him I didn’t own a computer (which isn’t true), and he just called me a liar, saying he knew I had one! I then told him I’d be contacting the police since I’d saved their number, and he even tried to bribe me not to report him, insisting he was legit! Absolute muppets.

Yet another call from this number! Just as before, they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail.

"Top of the day to you (though it was actually the afternoon!), I’m calling from Microsoft regarding your computer." In response, I said, "Absolutely not, you’re nothing but a fraudster and a con artist; do one!" before promptly ending the call. Bracing myself for a likely nasty callback from a different number (I've dealt with this nonsense before!), I’ve strategically placed a sharp whistle next to my phone to give them a taste of their own medicine… just take a moment and... blow!

They somehow manage to infect your computer and phone with a virus, only to later demand a ransom to remove it.

Our phone keeps on ringing incessantly... we've resorted to leaving the answering machine on, along with a little message for those pesky cold callers to take a hike!

Gave me a ring earlier, and as soon as I mentioned it sounded dodgy, they abruptly cut off the call!

Claimed to be from Microsoft, they did. When I mentioned I didn't possess a computer, they accused me of fibbing, insisting they would block my device and alert the authorities. I firmly requested them not to ring me again.

Claimed to be from the Microsoft Tech Department, they were directed to take a hike when I firmly stated I wouldn't engage with any con artists.

Why is it that, much like other pesky nuisance calls, organisations such as Microsoft - who are falsely claiming to represent them - can't track these numbers down and put an end to this annoyance? It's truly baffling that they haven't figured out a way to deal with these charlatans!

Called me up and enquired if I owned a computer, to which I replied in the affirmative. Then, rather abruptly, they disconnected the call. How strange!

I keep getting calls from this number right at 8.20am every day! It’s so annoying, especially since my kids are back from uni and need their lie-ins. No idea who it could be, cause nobody I know calls that early just to have a natter. Tried blocking the number but it seems like it won’t stick. Proper frustrating, honestly!

Had this annoying woman calling who sounded like she was from Asia, said she was from Microsoft and that there was a problem with my computer. I was just about to tell her how disgraceful it was to lie like that when she hung up on me! Been getting calls like this loads over the past week. They just won't stop or even listen when you ask to be removed.

Received a bothersome call, purporting to be from Microsoft regarding my computer issues. The background was quite noisy, reminiscent of a call centre, and the gentleman on the line had an Indian accent.

I've been getting calls from this number repeatedly. The chap on the line claimed to be from Microsoft, insisting it was regarding my computer. I informed him that I don't even own one! It's astonishing how some of these callers can be rather abrasive. I'm beginning to find it all rather tiresome.

Havent had a call like this in ages. My mate played along for around 10 minutes, then asked if it would work on an iMac, and she said yes. Then we got annoyed when a guy with an Asian accent came on the line. We asked if they could give us their password if they were going to help. That’s when it clicked for them, and he got angry, asking if we thought we were smart, before hanging up. We’re pretty sharp folks at 75, but could be risky for anyone who’s on their own or not so cautious.

I've had a couple of calls today from someone who sounded Indian. There was quite a bit of noise in the background. They claimed there was something wrong with my computer, but honestly, I know way more about my own PC than they acted like they did, which made me suspicious. Definitely a scam try.

Some guy with an Indian accent, calling himself Peter, claimed to be from tech support about my PC. He wanted me to log in and I just pretended to go along with it, cos I could tell it was a scam straight away. He ended up getting really mad and was shouting at me on the phone, proper abusive it was. Honestly, it felt good to see him so riled up. These calls are seriously risky though. So I got a call from someone saying "Hello ma'am, this is about your computer." I told them my name's Peter and asked them nicely to take me off their list since I'm on the TPS. They just wouldn't listen and kept going. Eventually, I just hung up on them.

Just got a call from someone saying they're with Microsoft, but I'm pretty sure it's a scam. The number showed up with a 01594 area code, but I think they're actually based somewhere in the Far East. They were trying to get control of my computer, so I ended the call straight away. Be careful, this stuff is super risky!
