Got a call from some Indian call centre pretending to do computer support. When I asked which company they were from, the woman stuttered and couldn’t even name it. She said my PC was infected with viruses. Recently, I’ve been getting about 3 or 4 calls each day from different scammy numbers all sharing the same area code.

Got a call from some loud call centre bloke named 'Brad', claiming he was from BT Openreach. He said there was an issue with my internet speed fluctuating. He wanted me to switch on my PC so he could "show" the problem. I asked him how Openreach could spot the issue without my computer on, and then fix it without it too. After a long pause, he just cut the call!
