I got a phone call from someone claiming to be from BT’s tech support, but there was loads of background noise, like a busy call centre, and the connection was really scratchy. They said my router had apparently sent them some kind of alert about issues and that they could help fix it to make my internet faster. Funny thing is, I got a similar call the day before, just from a different number and a slightly different excuse. The call cut off before they could say more today, but honestly, I reckon it was some kind of scam - especially since I’m not even a BT customer!
