I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from TalkTalk, saying there’s some error with my downloads. There was loads of background noise, which made me really doubtful. He asked me to get on my computer but I didn’t trust it and told him to call again in an hour. If he does call back, I’ll just tell him to buzz off. I’ll also let TalkTalk know about this.

some bloke with like an indian accent ringing up saying he’s from tech support or some kinda service, but seems like one of those scammers trying to sneak into your computer!

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent who was asking for me. I've had a few calls like this before, so this time I just cut it off and hung up before it went any further.

Had this bloke ring me up talking like he was from some 'internet technical services' lot, saying there was an issue with my broadband. I’ve dealt with IT stuff for over 30 years, so I wasn't fooled. But a mate of mine, his missus got caught out by some scammer pretending to be from their UK broadband firm. They were on the phone for ages before they somehow got her bank info and wiped £3000 from her account. Honestly, always be careful with calls like that. If you're not sure, get a reference and ring them back on a number you know is legit.

Got a call claiming my PC was seriously at risk, with all sorts of fake office sounds playing in the background. No idea why some folks have called this number neutral - it’s obviously a scam, trying to trick you into letting them into your computer. The bloke on the line, who sounded Indian, wasn’t very convincing and I ended up cutting the call pretty fast. Still, I’m sure some people might get caught out, so I tagged it as dangerous.
