I wouldn’t quite label it a scam, as mentioned previously. I’m presently employed by this company, and we’ve been brought on board since it’s the sole opportunity available during these challenging times, and I require work to make ends meet. Not everyone here is rude; in fact, my branch has a solid atmosphere as anyone behaving poorly gets dealt with swiftly. It’s important to remember that these individuals are just trying to do what they can to secure a living. So, perhaps we should give them a chance to explain rather than jump to conclusions.

So, I got a call from some company called DM Design out in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, and they kept pestering me nonstop. Honestly, I just made up some fake info to mess with them and then blocked their number. From what I’ve heard, their kitchen stuff isn’t great either. Wouldn't recommend dealing with these lot.

I rang the main office of DM DESIGN over in Scotland. The woman who picked up sounded proper stuck up, like she was dealing with people moaning about telemarketing numbers all the time. Honestly, it was a bit satisfying giving her a hard time over this rubbish! She kept going on about how it wasn’t really their problem because my number "probably hasn’t been cleansed" or some nonsense. Absolutely rubbish excuse. I told her to get it removed or they’ll soon be facing another big fine, like £90k or something, for these dodgy tactics. On Wednesday, 4th June 2014, at about 7pm, this number rang my phone. I saw the number on caller ID but didn't pick up since I didn't know who it was. Later, I looked it up here and found out it might be some sort of scam.

Got a call today, picked up and they just ended it straight away. Being Sunday just made the whole thing feel more frustrating.

On the 2nd of April 2014, I got a call from them but as soon as I picked up, they just cut off. I checked the number with 1471 and when I rang back, it was just an open line like no one was picking up. Then, on the 5th, they called again, asked if I was interested in new windows but I just ended the call. The following day, they tried again but got my answering machine and then they hung up.

DM Design is dreadful. Currently waiting for them to fit my kitchen, I got a call from them but before even checking who I was, they just hung up when I mentioned I’m on the TPS list - no apology whatsoever. Definitely not buying any of their rubbish. Here’s what I’m planning to do next: 1. Ring their freephone 0800 185 186 a few times daily, just to annoy them a bit (might even get cheeky and hang up mid-call now and then). 2. Google DM Design, as well as search on Bing and Yahoo. Their adverts show up on the side, and every time you click, DM Design ends up paying for it. 3. While on their site, I’ll order heaps of brochures sent to random addresses just for the laugh. 4. Drop an email to the furniture ombudsman FIRA, since DM Design is a member, and see if they’re happy being linked with this dodgy company. Hopefully, a few calls and clicks each day by a few people might make them rethink their tactics. This lot ain’t on my good side.

Couple of days back, my missus got a ring from this number, some bloke asking her name. She didn’t want to say, and then he started shouting all sorts of swear words at her. Seriously, people like that deserve to be taken to court.

Got a ring from this number at about 3.30pm on 22/09/11 and it was a bit of a mess... The caller started with, "Hello, this is Kieran and I’m calling to..." then suddenly just blurted out some nonsense and dropped the call. Maybe they spotted I’m registered with the TPS or something. Would be great to chat with whoever’s in charge there, really highlights how poor their training must be. On the plus side, at least they didn't hide their caller ID.

This number called me claiming they’d give me £50 worth of Marks & Spencer vouchers if I answered a couple of quick questions. I wasn’t interested and said no, but the woman sounded surprised and asked again. I’ve had this sort of call from them before. I explained nicely that I was too busy to chat and mentioned that their calls even disturbed my wife who’s on a night shift. Despite that, they keep ringing back. Honestly, I wish I had all their home phone numbers so I could ring them at bedtime!

Got a call from this number, the person just asked for my name then cut off straight away. Tried dialling 1471 and using recall but all I got was a busy tone like it was linked to somewhere overseas. I’ll defo be keeping an eye on my phone bill and I’m planning to let BT know about this too. I’m guessing this is one of those dodgy premium rate scams coming from abroad but pretending to be a Scottish number. They ring, the caller sounds Scottish, asks your name, you say it and then they hang up. Turns out the number they use is a fake mirror number that then forwards the call somewhere far away to a premium rate line. Do Not under any circumstance call them back!

My son picked up a call earlier today. The caller knew our surname and wanted to talk to either me or my husband but wouldn’t explain the reason. When my son asked for their identity, the caller replied something like Greg and Goodwin or maybe just Greg Goodwin, but he sounded so rushed he was hard to understand. The number showed up as being from Kirkaldy, Fife, which isn’t our area. I did some searching and found that Greg Goodwin is an evangelist, though I couldn’t see any business linked to that name.

Got a call from someone called "Melanie" claiming to be from Gregg & Goodwin, she asked for me specifically and I said yes. I asked where she found my number and she said it was from some database. When I pressed her about how my number ended up there, she dodged the question and ended the call. Tried looking up both the number and company but no luck at all. Since I’m on the TPS and my number’s unlisted, I think this might be an identity theft scam. Planning to report it to both the ICO and TPS.

Got a call at a really odd hour, picked up and they were asking for Mrs Walker (which isn’t me). I recently moved into this place and got a new phone number. Told the guy that and asked where he got my number from. He said it was from his database. When I pressed him on exactly what database that was, he simply replied "the database on my computer". I asked again, what database? Then he just hung up! What a muppet! So far, all I can tell is the number traces back to somewhere in Fife, Scotland.
