For the last few weeks, these numbers keep ringing me: 01294375016, 0168279541, 01592615234, and a load more like 01281672809 and 0168945814. I never answer, as I’m suspicious, and have tried blocking as many as TalkTalk lets me, but I’m often out so sometimes miss the chance. I can never tell which was the latest call. I reckon they’re dodgy, so now I just ignore or mess about on the phone if I have time. Better safe than sorry!

Got a call pretending to be from Talk Talk. I could tell straight away it was dodgy, so I started moaning about my TV acting up and said Talk Talk had already checked the internet and it was all fine. I went on about how rubbish their service was and demanded to know when I'd get my refund. They just hung up. Seems like they can't handle dealing with anything off their script. This has happened twice in two days. The first time, they said they'd transfer me to another team and then dropped the call. Got sick of getting annoyed, so decided to mess around with them a bit instead.

I got a call from someone claiming they were from the TPS, speaking in such a thick accent I could barely catch a word. They said they could help stop nuisance calls if I paid a small fee. I told them cheerio and hung up straight away. I just don't get how these scams keep going on. Plus, it's baffling how these dodgy, made-up numbers manage to ring and then say nothing. Is the real TPS really powerless?

Got a call from someone pretending to be TalkTalk. Thankfully, I knew what a scam it was and hung up as soon as they mentioned TalkTalk. Then I blocked the number by dialling 14258 and hitting ## - it’s something TalkTalk customers can do, but you might need to call their customer service before that. They’re awesome and will add security stuff to your line without charging you.

I got a call from this bloke pretending to be from some telephone service about stopping 'nasty and unwanted' phone calls. Every time I said he was just another one of those annoying callers, he just went back to his script and repeated himself. After a while, he got annoyed and just hung up on me. This was the second time he rang me today.

This number calls me pretty much every day, even Sunday around 9:45. It starts with two zeros. I’ve got an answerphone so I don’t pick up, but of course, they never leave a voicemail or anything. Such a pain!

Saw a missed call from this number today. Honestly, I’m getting so tired of random unknown callers since I signed up with Talk Talk. Surely Talk Talk could do more to protect customers like us who just wanna pay our bills in peace! I’m certain they have the power and means to stop this, especially since they’re the ones assigning these numbers in the first place. It’s really not right to have moved somewhere to feel safe, then be scared to even pick up your own phone!

Received a couple of calls from this number yesterday. The chap claimed to be representing TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my computer and asked if I could power it up so he could guide me through a fix. I refused and ended the call. I subsequently alerted TalkTalk about the incident, and they confirmed it was indeed a scam call. They've now blocked the number on my line.

This week I got a couple of calls from this same number, both times saying they were from TalkTalk about my internet. Today, they rang me twice again, but I didn’t pick up. The strange thing was, when I missed the first call, they called me straight back. Then later, I got another call but the number had an extra zero at the front. When I finally answered, they just hung up. Proper odd behaviour!

Got a call out the blue claiming to be from TalkTalk tech support, told them to jog on straight away. Then I noticed a call from a very similar number, just had an extra zero added at the start, but when I picked up, nobody spoke. About half an hour later, same number rang back and they just dropped the call. Quite fishy if you ask me.

This number has rung me three times today already. My missus picked up the first two but the caller just hung up straight away. When I answered, some bloke with an Indian/Pakistani accent said he was from TalkTalk’s tech support and claimed my internet had been 'compromised', warning that my service would be cut off in 10-14 days. He said it could be fixed if I let him get into my computer. I told him I’d verify with TalkTalk myself and ended the call. Definitely looks like a scam.

Got loads of calls from these folks saying my router was being used a lot and that over 15 devices were hooked up, claiming someone had hacked it. I did a quick look myself and nothing seemed wrong, so I started asking them some questions. They didn’t even know my name, which immediately made me suspicious it was a scam. I’ve gone ahead and reported them to Action Fraud.

I just finished a phone call with a man, who sounded Indian, claiming to be from TalkTalk. Since I actually work for TalkTalk, I knew right away it was a scam. But he quickly started saying my full name, my address, and threatened to come after me and commit horrible acts. I’ve reported the whole thing to the police. Definitely not the kind of call I was expecting after a long day at work.

They rang me twice today, first at 1.54pm and then again at 2.40pm, but I wasn’t in. Recently, I’ve been getting loads of annoying calls, loads claiming to be from TalkTalk. Looking at what others have said about these calls, it seems like most of them link back to TalkTalk. Surely someone could track this number and do something about it?

Got a call from a guy who said his name was Jason, sounded foreign and claimed to be from TalkTalk. He started with the usual chit-chat about how I was doing. I told him he wasn’t really with TalkTalk, but he kept insisting "Ma'am, I’m calling from TalkTalk." I was a bit confused and said I didn’t get it, then he just hung up on me. Blocked the number straight away. The number started with 01592, which I found out is Kirkcaldy in Fife, Scotland.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, said he was from TalkTalk and wanted to chat to the person who holds the account. I told him if he’s really calling from TalkTalk, he should already know who that is. He then asked, “Ma’am, if you aren’t the account holder, can you pass him on please?” I just told him to piss off. Didn’t get a peep from him after that, so I hung up.

The caller even offered to give me an account number to confirm who they were, but TalkTalk said they’d never do that. Definitely a dodgy call.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from TalkTalk, after a short pause she said my computer was having issues. When I asked what I needed to do and said I wasn’t going to turn on my device, she just hung up straight away. Classic scam if you ask me!
