I missed the call, so I decided to return it. When I did, there was an American-sounding voice on the other end instructing us to hold on for an agent to assist us shortly. We hung up and promptly blocked the number.

Utterly infuriating! I received a call, but there was complete silence before it dropped. I have a strong hunch that it’s some kind of injury claim firm, as I keep getting persistent calls from various numbers linked to Kirkcaldy. It's relentless and completely unsolicited!

He specifically requested to speak with my husband, addressing him by name. Naturally, I inquired about the caller's identity, but he mumbled it so quickly that I couldn’t make it out. Following that, he asked whether we had been involved in any car accidents over the past three years-a flat-out no from us. When I probed further, curious if he was from a PPI firm, he clarified that it was actually personal injury. Without missing a beat, he assured me that he would take our number out of their system, indicating we wouldn’t hear from them again. We shall see about that! Clearly, I was posing too many questions for his liking, as he realised I wasn’t someone easily caught off guard.
