Today at about 9:12 in the morning, I got a phone call from 01590676995. A man's voice came on with a pre-recorded message claiming to be from Barclaycard's Fraud Team. He said they had stopped a transaction of £800 from a US gambling site going through on my card. They then asked me to press 1 if I wanted to know more. I decided to just hang up, as it felt dodgy and like a scam.

On the 24th of March in 2023, precisely at 9:12 in the morning, I received a rather peculiar phone call from this number. An unfamiliar male voice, sounding quite foreign, left a recorded message claiming to be from the Fraud Department of Barclaycard. They alleged that there had been some suspicious transactions spotted on my account, specifically a hefty payment of £800 that was supposedly being directed towards a gambling site across the pond in America. The message urged me to "press 1" for more details, but my instincts kicked in, and I promptly hung up. I then grabbed my iPad to verify the situation with the actual Barclaycard Fraud Department. As I had suspected, it turned out to be a dodgy scam attempt.
