Lately, there’s been this dodgy cold call doing the rounds about some made-up car insurance claim, where they try to make you think you or someone close had an accident. With everyone getting these calls on both their mobiles and home phones, these scam folk are getting cleverer and cleverer with their tricks. It’s annoying how they keep coming up with new ways to fool people!

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Asian asking all about some accident I supposedly had. I just ended the call straight away. Then he called me back again, so I cut him off once more. On the third time he rang, he started threatening me, saying I’d be arrested over it. Honestly, it’s pretty worrying. Now that I think about it, it’s probably just some nutter, but it still gave me a right fright.

Got a call from this number, the person said they were from BT. They claimed there was some kind of issue with my computer’s operating system, which I found suspicious. Then they wanted me to install a programme called TEAM VIEWER to “fix” it. I contacted BT afterwards, and they told me it was a total scam and they don’t call customers asking for stuff like that. Just a heads up, don’t fall for this trick!
