9 yearsBack in June 2017, some guy with an Asian accent called me claiming he worked for Microsoft and my computer had some kind of issue. He wanted me to pay £170 to fix it online! Since then, I get calls from them quite often, like 3 or 4 times daily sometimes. It's pretty annoying.Microsoft9 yearsGot calls from a woman with an Asian accent saying our BT internet needed urgent fixing. Total con, I told her to stop ringing us and leave it. They keep calling heaps, like several times each week, drives me mad!9 yearsGot a call from this number, bloke with an Asian accent said his name was Dave and claimed to be from BT. Total waste of time, definitely scammers in my opinion.9 yearsIn just a couple of days, I've had about half a dozen calls from these fraudsters pretending to be from either Microsoft or BT. When I question them, they start being really rude. Definitely dodgy lot.MicrosoftBT9 yearsThis bloke named David rang me up, saying he was from my internet provider and somehow already knew my name. When I asked him which firm he was with, he said BT. I told him I wasn’t a BT customer, and that’s when he started getting rude. Then he demanded $50,000 from me! I just laughed and joked back that I’d give him £100,000 if he handed over the cash first. After that, he mumbled something in what sounded like an Asian language and cut the call. Proper dodgy call if you ask me!DavidBT9 yearsSo this bloke rang me saying he was from BT and that hackers were getting into my router. He seemed pretty sure he had the router’s number right. I told him I’d have a look, but actually I just searched the number he was calling from and found this website (big thanks to everyone who shared their experiences here). When I mentioned he was flagged as a scam caller on the site, he just hung up straight away. Cheers to all who posted warnings about these scam calls!BT9 yearsGot a call earlier today from some bloke named Christopher Parker claiming my internet got hacked, gave me some ID number and said he was with the National Crime Agency.
