Back in June 2017, some guy with an Asian accent called me claiming he worked for Microsoft and my computer had some kind of issue. He wanted me to pay £170 to fix it online! Since then, I get calls from them quite often, like 3 or 4 times daily sometimes. It's pretty annoying.

Got calls from a woman with an Asian accent saying our BT internet needed urgent fixing. Total con, I told her to stop ringing us and leave it. They keep calling heaps, like several times each week, drives me mad!

Got a call from this number, bloke with an Asian accent said his name was Dave and claimed to be from BT. I just told him we weren't interested in buying anything and hung up. Then he rang back straight away, warning us about some hacking risk.

Got a call from 01587754826 with an Asian lady asking for someone by name. Told her to wait and then they just hung up. They called me 3 more times within 20 minutes of the first call. Proper annoying, so I’ve blocked the number and activated call guardian to stop them from ringing back. Total waste of time, definitely scammers in my opinion.

In just a couple of days, I've had about half a dozen calls from these fraudsters pretending to be from either Microsoft or BT. When I question them, they start being really rude. Definitely dodgy lot.

This bloke named David rang me up, saying he was from my internet provider and somehow already knew my name. When I asked him which firm he was with, he said BT. I told him I wasn’t a BT customer, and that’s when he started getting rude. Then he demanded $50,000 from me! I just laughed and joked back that I’d give him £100,000 if he handed over the cash first. After that, he mumbled something in what sounded like an Asian language and cut the call. Proper dodgy call if you ask me!

So this bloke rang me saying he was from BT and that hackers were getting into my router. He seemed pretty sure he had the router’s number right. I told him I’d have a look, but actually I just searched the number he was calling from and found this website (big thanks to everyone who shared their experiences here). When I mentioned he was flagged as a scam caller on the site, he just hung up straight away. Cheers to all who posted warnings about these scam calls!

Got a call earlier today from some bloke named Christopher Parker claiming my internet got hacked, gave me some ID number and said he was with the National Crime Agency. Left a load of nonsense and even said he’d report to the local coppers. Typical scammers, hope they get caught soon ha!

Just like some folks here, I told them my name was John Wilson. The person said they were with BT and wanted to talk about my internet service. I said I wasn’t having any issues and then ended the call. Figured it was one of those dodgy scams.

Got a call from someone named Peter Barker, sounded like he had a funny accent, claiming to be from BT. He said my internet was being accessed by people from abroad, which made no sense because it’s been working perfectly. Then some tech bloke came on the line and I just left him hanging on hold for what felt like ages before I finally hung up.

I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from my internet company and needed me to check my router. I just told him I don’t talk about stuff on the phone and then he suddenly hung up. Seriously, don’t chat with anyone on the phone unless you’re 100% sure who they are.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, but he sounded American. Said he was there to fix internet troubles. Told him my internet was fine, and honestly, he sounded like the real issue! Ended the call sharpish.

I got a call from a weird number, and all I heard was someone saying “hello” over and over before they just suddenly cut the call.

Got a call from some dodgy people claiming to be BT, saying someone was trying to hack our internet. I rang BT myself and they told me it was definitely not them. Best thing to do is just hang up straight away.
