Got a call from someone claiming to be from the TPS asking if I'm still receiving marketing calls or whatnot. I said yeah, because I’ve been getting loads (like 26 calls yesterday and no one even said a word). Then the same number rang me three times this morning again. When I confronted the bloke about it, he started swearing at me and just cut the call. Proper dodgy behaviour.

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from the TPS. They said there was a one-time fee that needed to be paid to activate some kind of banking system and then immediately asked for my bank details. Felt fishy straightaway.

They ring me every hour on the hour, but whenever I pick up, it's always silent and then the call just drops. Can't get anyone on the other end.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be called Max, said he was ringing from TPS, telling me my contract with them was due to finish tomorrow. He asked me to verify my details so they could renew it. I told him I'll handle it online on my own and he just dropped the call. Definitely a scam. Reported to TPS to get rid of this nonsense.

Today I got six calls from someone harassing my grandma. They sounded really pushy and kept demanding all kinds of personal info. Definitely a scammer trying to stir trouble.

Got a call from these people earlier. Some woman with an Indian accent said my TPS was about to expire the next day and asked for my credit card info to renew it. I told her TPS shouldn’t cost anything, and she replied that if I didn’t pay, they’d cancel the service. I just said go ahead then. Pretty sure they're trying to scam folks. Don’t hand over your details to them!

They started by knowing my name and said they were from that telephone preference service thing. He asked if I’d had any annoying marketing calls lately. I said yes, and just as he was about to explain how he could fix it, I told him I already reported those calls and that I was going to report him too. Then he just hung up. I’m definitely reporting him to TPS.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who seemed to know a lot about me. She started going on about something to do with my direct debit expiry or something similar. I told her straight away it sounded like a scam, but she said it wasn’t. Then she sounded a bit downbeat and just ended the call. Felt like she might be new or something, not as slick or nasty as the usual scammers I’ve dealt with before!

Got a call on my home phone from 01587-545 423. The person said they were from the telephone preference service and wanted me to verify my name, address, and landline number - all info they already had. I told them they had the wrong details and that I wasn’t the person they were looking for. They kept pushing, saying “This number is registered to that name and address with this postcode.” I just ended the call, didn’t want to risk any funny business. Seemed like a scam or some sort of info grab. Best to just hang up!

So, this bloke named John rang me from 01587545423 with a bit of an Indian accent, claiming to be from the TPS or something. He asked if I was the number’s owner, but I wasn’t about to just hand over details without knowing what number he’d dialled and what his angle was. When I pressed him, he started getting all agitated, saying my TPS registration was nearly up and I had to renew it or whatever. I cut him off quickly, telling him I was reporting the call and it was being monitored by the local cops because I was pretty sure he was trying to con me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with the Telephone Preference Service, but his accent was really hard to make out. He wanted me to pay over £21 but I wasn’t having any of it. When I cut him off, he started getting pretty angry. I told him I was recording the call and to get lost, then he suddenly ended the call.

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent, not sure what their name was. They said this Telephone Preference Service thing was getting an upgrade, and if I paid a single fee of around £20, I'd be free from annoying calls forever (yeah, right). Then they said if I didn’t pay, the service would be cancelled. I just told them to go ahead and cancel it and quickly ended the call.

Got a call and they wanted to talk to someone called Mr Swansea. I told them that's not me, even though I do live in Swansea. The person on the line sounded like they were from an Indian call centre and as soon as I said my name wasn’t Swansea, they just cut the call. Sounds like a scam to me, so watch out!
