Got a couple calls from a bloke with an Asian accent pretending to be from BT. When I asked him for my name, he couldn’t answer. I called him out as a fraud and then he just cut me off. Total scammers, don’t trust them.

Got two calls from this number, both times with Asian accents. The second time it was a bloke pretending to be from the FBI. I decided to play along and asked where exactly he was calling from. He replied Canada but quickly hung up once he saw I wasn't buying it.

I’ve had a few calls from this dodgy number lately. Whenever they ring, I just ask them to give me my BT account number. As soon as I do that, they hang up straight away!

Got a call from 01587452360 claiming to be BT Engineers, obviously a scam. They asked me to install TeamViewer to get remote access, which they said was normal. To connect, they needed the 'Partner ID' from the app. I faked cooperating but reported the ID to TeamViewer who then blocked them. I guess tracking these scammers, especially when they use fake numbers from abroad, isn't easy. It's worrying how easily some might fall for it, so just watch out and stay safe! :)

My phone buzzed but I ignored it at first. Later, I decided to answer and dialled 1471 to find out who rang me. The number that came up didn’t leave any voicemail. Luckily, I searched the number online and turns out it's linked to a scam call. Glad I checked before trusting it!

I received a couple of calls from this number on the 4th of April, 2017. The woman on the other end had a foreign accent and claimed that there were issues with my BT internet being compromised. I decided to end the conversation after about a minute.

Watch out, it's a SCAM! Got three calls today from people speaking with Indian accents. They had my mum's name and number and said they were from BT, but she’s never even had internet! The number 015877452360 rings funny and might be fake. Don't trust them!

Got a call from 01587452360, some guy reading off a script, saying he was from BT and wanted to delete hacker stuff from my computer. I found it hilarious. I asked him for his phone number so I could ring him back. He replied, "Why on earth would you call me? I'm a BT engineer ringing YOU." I told him, "Mate, I’m in IT, and you're clearly fake. I’m noting down your number to report you." Then he started shouting and I just ended the call. That number’s blocked now.

She said her name might have been Alana, but the call was so choppy I struggled to catch it clearly. I told her to ring me again later because I was tied up. What really creeped me out was that she seemed aware of my recent internet troubles. How on earth did she find that out?

This number called me loads, like 6 times and I also got 3 calls from 01282214555 plus 4 from 01259800240. All claiming they were from BT, but I'm not even a BT customer. I rang my network and they confirmed it’s just a scam, so don’t hand over any details to those creeps. Total slimeballs.

I got a call from 01587452360, the bloke had a strong Indian accent and kept going on about my BT gear being broken. I told him I don’t even have BT as my provider, but he reckoned BT owns every other company anyway. Watch out for this number, it seems a bit dodgy.

Got a call this morning around half past eight from someone saying they were from BT, sounded like an Indian call centre. They claimed there were hackers trying to get into my computer and needed me to give them access to keep me safe. The woman wanted me to log in online so she could guide me through some "security steps." When I asked for her name and why she was calling me, she just ended the call straight away. Definitely felt like a scam trying to get into my PC.

I got a call from 01587452360, sounded like someone from abroad. The bloke kept saying he was from some BT technical department, but honestly it was hard to understand him. I told him I wasn’t convinced BT even had a “technical department” like that. After that, I told him I couldn’t catch what he was trying to say and ended the call.

I got a couple of calls like the ones others have mentioned here. I ended the call pretty quick since the guy wasn’t paying attention, just kept going on about switching on my laptop. He called again asking why I’d cut him off, and when I said I didn’t think he was really from BT, he just kept repeating himself like I wasn’t even speaking. It’s worrying to think some folks might fall for this stuff and end up getting scammed.

I got a ring from this number once more today. Normally they tell me my PC’s got a virus, but this time it was dead silent, no one said a thing before it cut off and a voice said “this call has ended” after about half a minute.

Got a call from someone who sounded like they were squawking away in one of those busy call centres. The voice was a thick Indian accent and he said he was from BT. Seemed like he was just reciting lines from a script, trying to say there was an issue with my internet but they’d fix it. I told him, "It’s all good here, cheers, if I need BT I’ll ring them myself."

This number should definitely be avoided. People, sometimes a man or a woman, often with a foreign accent, call pretending to be from BT. They claim your computer has a virus and threaten to cut off your broadband unless you fix it immediately. We've had calls from them a few times, like on 31 March 2017 and then again on 1 April 2017. It’s likely the 01587 452360 number is being faked. It’s really unfortunate because these scams can fool quite a lot of vulnerable folks.

The number 01587452630 kept ringing me up three times just today, all from supposed BT reps. I rang BT myself and they confirmed loads of these calls are going around, each time with a slightly altered number. The last time, the caller raised her voice when I asked her to name the exact amount on my last BT bill to prove she was legit. She got really rude and threatened to cut off my internet. BT also warned me some poor person got scammed out of £25k by these lot. Proper dodgy!

If you’re signed up with the TPS, make sure to report any scam calls to the ICO, and any dead or silent ones to OFCOM. These spam callers couldn’t care less about complaints here, but they really start to fret when Ofcom or ICO get notified - it only takes a couple minutes tops to file a report.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, saying there was an urgent issue with our computer that needed fixing straight away. When we told them we didn’t actually own a computer, she just kept going like we hadn’t said a word. Kept insisting it was really urgent and we shouldn’t ignore it. I’ve watched those shows about scams on telly, so I knew it was dodgy. Plus, we’re not even customers of BT, so it made no sense at all.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent, background noise sounded like a busy call centre. She claimed my BT internet was about to get cut off. I said I'd pass the call on to a teammate, then left them on hold while I reported it to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Take that! :-)

Totally a scam call. She claimed there was a big issue with our computer and said it was urgent to sort it out. She told us she was from BT, but when we mentioned we don't even have a computer, she just ignored it and kept going on like we hadn’t said a word. Over and over she kept stressing how urgent it was and warned us not to ignore it. I've seen loads of shows and read about these kinds of scams on telly. Plus, we don’t use BT services at all, so it was obvious it was dodgy.
