So on Monday, I got a call from an Indian woman trying to get me to re insure my washing machine - she couldn’t even tell me the brand or model! Then today, I get another one saying they want me to hand over £4,000 to cover funeral expenses, saying it’s "inflation protected" or something ridiculous. Honestly, who comes up with these horrible scams to trick folks? Why don’t they just find proper jobs instead of bothering people at home and invading their privacy like this? It’s just awful behaviour.

Somebody from overseas called up, told me my warranty was expired, so I just hung up straight away.

It's really worrying that they have all my details like name, address and postcode. I told the woman I'd be reporting her to the police and she just ended the call. Honestly, they need to take action on these calls, especially since they target people who are vulnerable.
