Got a call on my home phone from Ofcom saying my internet security through BT was at risk and that my line would be cut off. They told me to press a button to fix it. Total scam, but what threw me was the call came from 01586 550419, which is a local number. I rang my internet company afterwards and everything’s fine on their end. Just a heads up for anyone else getting something similar.
