1 yearAvoid this number at all costs. Someone said they were an account manager from EON Next but got really nasty when I didn't want to chat with them. I ended the call a few times, but they kept ringing back and started threatening to disconnect my gas and electric supplies, even saying it’d put me at risk. Quite intimidating!EON Next1 yearOn 28th December 2024 at around 11 in the morning, a call came through from 01584 333016 to an 01895 number. The woman on the other end was asking for "Miss A... B...", the occupant of the house. I asked who was calling, but she simply repeated her question about Miss A.. B... When I asked again, the caller just hung up. The person she was after was unwell then, and I made sure to let her know about the call. It’s a bit worrying that the caller seemed to know her full name and how to address her properly.Miss A.... B....1 yearTotal scammers, watch out!1 yearThese scammers are total slimeballs, seriously just block their number!!1 yearI got a voicemail that said something like "all our lines are busy at the mom" or something, but I didn’t bother to listen to the rest and just deleted it straight away.1 yearGot a call just a few minutes back from this number...total scam alert. They've stopped faking being EON now. It was a man with an Asian accent calling himself "Alex" claiming he worked for a communications firm. He started asking what kind of TV subscriptions I had, like Disney, SKY, and NETFLIX. I slammed the phone down pretty quick, but I bet if I’d stayed on the line, he’d try to pitch some "exclusive offer" or whatnot.AlexDisneySKYNetflix1 yearAbsolutely dodgy people!!!2 yearsJust got a call from someone claiming to be with Eon, but it’s definitely a scam. Best to avoid chatting with them at all.Eon2 yearsSomeone called me saying they were from EON, telling me it was about renewing my contract and that I was a special customer with a special deal. When I asked questions, they got dodgy. I tried ringing back but the number just wouldn’t connect. Be careful and don’t hand over any details!EON2 yearsI had a call recently from someone saying they're from Eon Energy, but it seemed all dodgy. They wanted me to give them details about our business account and kept pushing for a contract renewal. From what I've gathered, these types often move you over to a pricey tariff with a different company and make a tidy bit of commission from it. Definitely sounds like a scam to watch out for.Eon Energy2 yearsGot a ring from someone claiming to be from Uber Eats?? Bit fishy if you ask me.Uber Eats2 yearsToday I got a call from this number claiming to be from EDF Energy's main office. It’s not the first time either, cos loads of calls came through from different numbers saying they were from EDF as well. On one other time, they even said they were with Octopus. They’re really relentless with the calls.EDF EnergyEDFOctopus Energy2 yearsGot two calls, first one said they were from EDF, then another from Western Power Distribution. We figured out it’s the same lot though because when we joked about asking for Jimmy Saville, that’s exactly who they always ask for now!
