I just ignored it since it popped up as spam on my phone.

Someone claiming to be from American Express rang me up, saying I was in danger of getting ‘hacked’ and then asked for my bank login info. Seemed fishy right away.

Loads of these calls are just scammers fishing for your info without any warning. Proper annoying when they keep ringing out of the blue.

Got a call from a mobile number and it turned out to be one of those scam calls. After looking it up here and reading the feedback, I was shocked to learn they might record your voice or something like that. It’s a pretty worrying thing, and I’m never picking up calls from unknown numbers again. I've gone ahead and blocked that number straight away. Big thanks to all the folks who post their experiences here, really helps!

I picked up and they just ended the call straightaway.

I asked if I could hear him clearly, but I didn’t say yes because I’ve heard people can record your voice to try and get into your bank or whatever. He mentioned something about energy, like being a local energy advisor or something. When I told him I was on the TPS and don’t accept unsolicited calls, he just kept on talking, asking if I was the homeowner and all that. Got really frustrated and ended up hanging up. Honestly felt a bit uneasy about the whole thing.

Got a call from a bloke named James, or at least it sounded like one, but I'm pretty sure it was just a robo message since he didn’t reply when I asked a question. He was going on about energy advisors 'near me' or something like that. Asked if I owned the place, and as soon as I said I was renting, it flipped over to a lady’s automated voice saying I wasn’t qualified or something. Bit strange, innit?
